HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!
It's raining now, which is one thing I realise is very funny- never on National Day Parade has it ever rained. Right? For the last fourteen years of my life it has never rained during the NDP. I suppose they have a wet weather plan, maybe move everything to the Indoor Stadium or something.
Did you realise that if it ever rained on National Day, there would be:
1. No Red Lions, or whatever they're called, you know those parachuters who always come in flying from the sky one by one.
2. No jet planes with nice smoky trails behind them in different colours, where they always fly up to sky and split into five different trails like the Total Defence symbol.
3. No plane carrying the Singapore flag and flying past when everybody's singing the National Anthem.
4. No fireworks.
Which would really be a spoiler, cause the fireworks are always the best parts of the show after the long and draggy song-and-dance-skit-about-the-history-of-Singapore-with-some-ethnic-music-and-bright-costumes-and-floats-and-heavily-American-accented-voiceovers.
And you know this year's NDP song? I don't like it as much as last year's, cause last year they had the funny dance thingy which was in a way, kind of lets-all-do-it-together fun.
